Write Away

Last Wednesday's writing workshop was awesome. There was a new woman who came who just retired from being a judge in Washington DC. She wants to write about her involvement with a specific experience in the Civil Rights Movement! Another woman is a retired english teacher, and another woman is in the process of working with an editor, as a publisher is interested in her book! It is so great to hear about what they are writing, and their own struggles and joys through the writing process.I think they are excited that someone young has joined the group and one woman always holds my hand and calls me "child!" After last week I was really inspired to write, and so I worked on my book for two hours straight! It was so great. The words just kept flowing. I have the meat of the beginning and ending of the book, and now I have to work on the bulk of the middle portion. Of course there will be a lot of changes and revisions to add, but I am just glad that I am finally able to get something down on paper!
