Switchfoot

Last night, Nik, Matt, Jen, LC, Laurie & I went to see Switchfoot at the Webster Theatre in Hartford for Jen's 23rd Birthday. I used to love Switchfoot and went to see them at the Moore Theatre in Seattle a couple of years ago. Since then, I haven't followed them much, but Matt suggested going to the concert and so I said I would go. Turns out, I still love them. I think the band has a great message that comes out through their songs and their interaction with the audience. It's something that you don't find very often and I admire that. Also, its crazy because when we were in highschool, Jason went to see Switchfoot at a church in Lake Stevens with Peter. This was before they were really famous. Who knew I would be going to their concert in Hartford 6 or 7 years later?

Yes, I'm Catholic said...

It's the concert that does that to you. I laughed when I read your post because their concert did it to me, too.

I've liked Switchfoot for awhile, but then my daughter and I went to see them in October...and they became my favorite band that night. My daughter had just seen her favorite band a few weeks before, and thought SF was even better. Both of us agreed that it was the best concert we'd ever been to, which says a lot about the age range they reach. I should add that I'm old enough to have been to a lot of concerts.

Now I can't get enough of their music. Have you listened to the new CD by Relient K? It ends with a song called "Deathbed." The guest singer comes in at the end, representing God (Jesus.) The guest singer is Jon Foreman.
