ROAD TRIP!

Nik and I decided to take an 8 day road trip down the east coast before I came back home to Seattle. I got to see so many things that I had never seen before! It was an unforgettable experience! We started in Britol, CT, then went to NYC, Washington DC, Philidelphia, Virginia Beach, Kitty Hawk, Savannah Georgia, Orlando, FL and Key West.

By far, the most memorable part of New York was ground zero. Ground zero was the last place that we went before heading out of the city. We all heard so much about it when it happend, but to be where it happend and think about how it has affected the city itself was insane. My favorite part was the cross that stood that was made from crossbeams from the buildings.

The other thing that took some getting used to in New York was all of the security. I was especially shocked by the armed guard in front of the federal building. But, for him and the new yorkers, I guess it was just routine.

It was great to see the sights in Washington DC for myself. For some reason, I had an obsession with the Washington monument and took a million pictures of it!

We also really liked the Jefferson Memorial. Nik pointed out that the entire thing is made from marble and that some people don't even want to splurge to buy marble countertops!

(to be continued...)
